SUNDAY MORNINGS
At both the 9.15am and 11.00am services we offer an fun and creative programme for the children with around 130 children in total meeting together to learn more about the Christian faith through stories, music, craft and games. Although we use the same programme and material, the activities at the two services have a very different feel - come and see which you most enjoy. The 11am service is slightly quieter for younger children. Come and meet us - we would love to meet you.
We have a staffed crèche for both babies and toddlers at both services.
Children are encouraged in free play with toys and books available. There is a separate baby and toddler group available at the 9.15 service, whereas at the 11am service the two are combined due to a smaller number of children that attend this time. Often there is a craft option to hand for the slightly older two year olds in the Toddler group, and with a structured bible story time, praise and/or singing time to enjoy with drink and biscuit provided.
We give each child a unique identification number so if your child needs you during this service, this number will appear on the screen in Church. We also run a token system to ensure the complete safety of your children - you need to retain the token in order to collect your child!
Ask one of the Welcome team where to take your child when you arrive in church. At the 9:15 service the baby creche is situated in the prayer room at the front right hand side of Church, and the Toddler creche in the creche room on the first floor. At the 11am service we offer a single creche for all 0-3 year olds in the first floor creche room.
When children reach their third birthday they can transition to our Scramblers group - a delightful group specially geared to the younger child, with stories, craft, singing and games - all teaching the Christian faith in ways which they can understand and enjoy.
Climbers
Climbers is for children in school years Reception, 1+2, and provides an action-packed session for the children with a lively all-together time which includes some role play, games and praise linking to the message of the week, followed by craft and stories in smaller groups, as well as the opportunity to reflect and creatively access prayer. Climbers benefits immensely from teenagers working alongside adult leaders, all of whom want to see the children enjoy learning about our Christian faith and discovering the exciting opportunity of having a relationship with Jesus.
Explorers
Explorers is the group for the oldest children, in school years 3-6, aged 7 - 11 years, where the children enjoy a mix of drama, music, stories and quizzes, all presented in a very contemporary style and with the emphasis on developing and growing their relationship with Jesus.
On alternate weeks at the 9:15 service they visit nearby Sandfield School for the final half hour enjoying the use of the playground for games. While other groups reflect on what they have learnt during the earlier part of the session, discuss in small groups, looking at applying their thoughts into their lives in addition to spending time together in other indoor creative ways.
At both the 9:15 and 11am service, Scramblers and Climbers meet in the Coffee Lounge on the first floor, and the Explorers meet in the Games Room at the top of the Centre.

Our Special Needs Group is for children between 0-16yrs and is led by a highly experienced qualified nurse. We are fortunate to have specialised equipment to help us provide an individual programme for each child. Children are given a one-to-one helper and a personal programme each week to help care for them, provide a fun session and help them come to know the love of God.
Because of the specialised nature of our support, we ask that you contact us before the Sunday, so that we can meet with you and prepare the appropriate care and programme for your child.
