CAMEO and Monday Club
CAMEO
This is the group at St Saviour's that welcomes any who have retired from paid employment even if life is even busier as a volunteer.
There are two main reasons for CAMEO:
- Opportunities to meet together at a variety of social occasions
- Showing Christian care for each other as circumstances arise
Events include a regular ramble - 4 miles - on the first Monday of each month finishing with an option for a pub lunch at one of the Surrey hostelries in and around the flatter part of the Surrey Hills. Each calendar quarter, the first Monday ramble ends with a lunch at Church so enabling those who do not fancy a ramble to come together, followed by a short activity. The detail of these is circulated by email, snail mail and on this web page.
From time to time there are whole day themed events, again advertised in a variety of ways depending on the best way to reach those on the CAMEO address list. These have included trips out - Portsmouth, Emsworth, Chichester, Brighton to name but some, and a summer garden party.
Want to know more or to ensure that you are kept informed as events arise - contact Celia and Mike Roberts on 01483 574671 or on email and you can be added to the mailing list. Notices also appear in the Sunday News Sheet.
