4MEN connect, engage, grow

The Vision:

"To see Guildford men of all ages transformed increasingly into the likeness of Jesus Christ committing to building honest relationships with one another,  wrestling over the word of God and daring to live as God directs."

Why 4MEN?

4Men was started to see transformation in the lives of Guildford men by:

  • connecting men to build meaningful relationship and to develop a new level of accountability and support with one another
  • exploring as a group what living a 'Christ like/led life actually looks like'
  • inspiring one another to reach out and serve our neighbours, colleagues, friends & family

What is 4MEN?

4Men aims to run events every 5-6 weeks that are designed to help men get to know each other better and to grow in their walk with Jesus Christ. In 2011 / 2012 we are organising a mixture of breakfasts, away days and social activities.

The programme for 2011/12 is downloadable by clicking here

The format of the breakfasts follows the key aims of 4Men:

  • Connect: A breakfast (normally full English) is laid on & time is given to chat with one another over breakfast and build relationships. This is the perfect chance to network with one another and provides a relaxed introduction for guests and non Christians.
  • Engage: We want to share a passion and commitment to encourage one another in our walk with Jesus through his Holy Spirit. So far we have found the best way to do this is to invite men to share real life stories as they feel led. Often this will include an inspirational main speaker sharing a life story that leads into discussions around tables or as one group. It is only when we as a group of men are all open and honest with one another that we really start see God move.
  • Grow: We believe that the result of engaging effectively with the discussion points and trying to discern what God is saying, will lead on to making us all bolder in our faith and will also draw people in from the fringes into a more secure and expectant faith. Towards the end of the breakfast there is time apportioned for men to pray with one another. If guys are not comfortable with this, they are free to leave at this point but we really encourage everyone else to make the most of this opportunity.

Please get in touch if you would like to be involved in any of the above, have ideas for speakers or anything else related to 4Men.

The Leadership Team:

4Men is facilitated by Fergal Roche, Tim Radcliffe, David Kratt and Jonny Hopper. Our commitment to 4Men is to pray for the group and to try and discern what God wants to say to us as men. St Saviours is our link Church who support us and to whom we are accountable. We work to plan an effective series of events to best serve the group. Here is a bit about us:
