Life Groups
Life Groups lie at the heart of our life together at St Saviour's and provide the opportunity to get to know a small group of people well. Groups of around 10-12 people meet each week in various homes in and around Guildford.
Belonging to a Life Group means that, in a large church, there is a place where we can be known, where we can share with others and where we can encourage each other to grow in our faith and discipleship, especially by studying the Bible and applying its teaching to our lives.
Life Group Values
The values at the heart of Life Groups are to:
Keep Jesus at the centre
Encourage every member in ministry
Help every member to mature
Challenge every member to make God known
Build communities of honest, loving, trusting, caring and praying relationships
This means that in Life Groups we:
Build community - get to know each other, have fun together and share our lives
Study God's Word - study the Bible and apply this to our everyday lives
Worship together
Pray together
Reach out to the world around us
Most of the Life Groups meet every week during term time, mostly on Wednesday evenings. The Groups explore the theme and Bible passage from the previous Sunday's sermons. Questions for this are included in that Sunday's Leaflet.
We would encourage everyone who wishes to belong to St Saviour's to join a Life Group. If you would like to join a life group, please pick up a form from St Saviour's Church Reception or contact Tom Darwent for more information.
Talktogether
An exciting new daytime prayer and bible study group, aimed at encouraging community and fellowship with mums of babies and pre-school children. For more information contact Ruth Kent or Angie Green.
