Parochial Church Council

The Parochial Church Council (the PCC) oversees every aspect of church life.

Our PCC is registered as a charity with the Charity Commissioners and comprises 29 people - made up of 15 elected lay people, 5 elected Deanery Synod representatives, I co-option, 2 churchwardens, 5 Clergy ex-officio and 1 attendee.

We divide the oversight of church life across a range of formal sub-committees as well as ministry and support groups. The average size of a group is 6-8 people.

The PCC meets around 7 times a year, dividing its time carefully between prayer review of ministry areas and formal business. We strive to achieve a good balance between staff responsibilities and PCC oversight.
