What we believe

At St Saviour’s we believe passionately that the local Church is the hope of the world. We are therefore committed to building a mission community within which each member is nurtured in the truth of God's word and the power of God's Spirit, and so equipped to bear witness to Christ in a broken world. Our task is not to gather and retain people, but to disciple and release them.

We are a family church with a bewildering cross-section of members drawn from all sorts of backgrounds and ways of life. Belonging to this community involves commitment to one of the Sunday congregations that gather in celebration around Word and Sacrament, and commitment to one of the 40 Life Groups in which Spiritual life is nurtured within the security of a small group.

Belonging is never passive. Within the fellowship of the Church we are filled with a passion to be devoted to God, each other and a broken world.
