Thy Kingdom Come

Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement initiated by Archbishop Justin Welby that invites Christians around the world to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus Christ. At St Saviour’s we would love to be part of this.

Prayer Room - 30th May to 1st June
Available in the Upper Lounge throughout the day from 8.30am to 8.30pm from Tuesday - Thursday. 
Please note, that the prayer room will not be available on the Friday.

Richelle Smith will give a short reflection on 'Our Father, who art in heaven' before leading us in prayer.

7.30pm to 8.30pm
James Cronin will give a short reflection on 'Hallowed be thy name' before leading us in prayer.

Wednesday 31st May
10.30am to 11.30am
Peter Levell will give a short reflection on 'Thy kingdom come' before leading us in prayer.

7.30pm to 8.30pm
Yvonne Twum-Barima will give a short reflection on 'Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven' before leading us in prayer.

Thursday 1st June

Geraldine Jamison will give a short reflection on 'Give us this day our daily bread' before leading us in prayer.

Sue Walker will give a short reflection on 'And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us' before leading us in prayer.

Friday 2nd June
10.30am to 11.30am
Emma Laporte will give a short reflection on 'And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.' before leading us in prayer.

7.30pm to 8.30pm
Rick Farquhar will give a short reflection on 'For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen.' before leading us in prayer.
 
Prayer Walk - Saturday 3rd June, 4pm to 5pm
On Saturday 3rd June there will be a Prayer Walk (4-5pm) starting and finishing in Stoke Park, near the entrance opposite Ennismore Avenue which. This will be a gathering of as many Christians as possible, of all ages, of all denominations, coming together for an hour on a Saturday afternoon to prayer-walk the streets of central Guildford. 

3.45-4pm: There will be a short time of prayer at Stoke Park - to pray for the walk before heading off - for anyone who would like. 
 
5-5.15pm: There will be a closing prayer meeting at Stoke Park to pray / give thanks afterwards for those who would like.

Sunday 4th June
We will be celebrating God’s kingdom coming at Pentecost at our 9am and 10.30am services

There will be no 6pm service Sunday 5th June as we will be joining Christians from around Guildford in a Prayer & Food Festival, 4.30pm at the Cathedral on Stag Hill – fun for all the family! Followed by a special service of celebration at 6pm. If you would like to find out more and book free tickets for these events, please follow this linkThere will be no evening service here at St Saviour's, so that we all join together at the Cathedral.

 As part of this diocese wide event, Marilyn Tooke is running ‘Bless the Nations’.  This initiative offers an opportunity for people of every nation, from all the churches across our diocese, to come together on June 4th to pray for the healing of the nations.  This promises to be a very special time.
